Rainbows End Time

It's time Paris its time where on now i said excitedly making my way onto the long flume ride. Plonk we were on the boat all ready for a adventure yay we said. We first went up the tunnel making our way to a black place where we could not see. Then the next minute splash down ahhh. We were both not expecting that. Then as the log was going around the corner we herd a freaky high pitch music sound. As soon as we past the corner there it was creepy music and plastic frogs, elfs and all sorts of other things. Then suddenly we stopped then boom! down we went, it felt like i had lost my stomach while going down. Sadly after that the ride had finished Paris and i hoped off wanting to do it again.

Airport Trip

Its was so exciting! Today all of Rm 1 went to Auckland International Airport to learn about what jobs there are and what you have to do if you wanted to have that job with a girl called Kandie that showed everyone around the airport. After that all of Rm 1 went and sat down in the food area where we could all have our food and eat. There was all sorts of shops around the food area like McDonalds, KFC, Cafes and subway. About half an hour of being there everyone in room one went back to school in there cars that they arrived in. I had learnt a lot on that day and had enjoyed it.

Ag day :)

I entered the Brookby school gate ready to put my lamb in the creche then ran up to Room 1 to get my number 100. then my friends sore me so we all hanged out until it was my tern to verse three other people (Ben, Annebell and Marjolaine with there lambs)  for Ag day with my lamb Camio. Before it was my tern to challenge the people Caitlin and I hurried over to the Bounce coarse which was two dollars for two people so Caitlin and I played in the bouncy coarse for about two or three minutes and then hoped out ready for me to challenge other people.

The places I came at the end were 1st for Camio coming to me and 2nd for his condition and care. After that I had a pony ride while Emma was leading me and then after that Caitlin, Paris, Patience and I waited until the grand parade so they could hand out the awards for the best lamb, goat, chicken and calf. At the end of Ag day everyone rushed either into there cars or under shelter because it started pouring with rain.

I was very proud of my self and Camio at the end of the day and am looking forward to the next Ag day.  :)

Book Character Day!

Guess what? It's book character day today. I bumped into Caitlin.

"Wow I love your costume Caitlin what's your character." I said " my character is Pirate woman" says Caitlin then she asks me what character are you "I'm the girl from dork diaries."

As soon as I walked into room 1 there were lots of people dressed in onesies even the teacher. About fifteen minutes of school work everyone in the school, even the teachers, had to go down onto the courts and line up in the shape of a square. And then when the music started everyone had to walk around in circles still at the shape of a square two times and then we would stop and then miss health would hold a microphone so that we could say who our character was.

I am poem

I am sporty and competitive
I wonder what I will do when I am older
I hear horses and nature                                                                  I see me on a horse riding in a paddock         I want a horse and to live on a farm
I am sporty and competitive
I pretend to be a horse rider on my own farm
I feel nature blowing past
I touch the horses back when I am riding
I worry about not getting a horse
I cry for nothing
I am sporty and competitive
I understand that not everyone gets what they want
I say I will have a happy life on a farm
I dream to have a horse and live on a farm           I try to do my best at school
I hope that at some stage my dream will come true By Horselover

Why are Ag Day Animals Important

Ag Day is Brookby Schools major community event each year. Every child in Brookby School is expected to raise a pig, chicken, calf, goat or lamb for this event.

The reason why every child in the School is expected to raise an animal is to learn how to be responsible. Firstly with your animal you need to feed them, give them water and find a place for them to sleep.

secondly if you have a chicken you might want to pick them up and let them perch on your arm and hug them each time you see them because each Ag Day you have a task for your animal. For the goats and lambs your is to teach them to basically get used to you because when you call their name they are supposed to you not wander off.

Lastly when it is September you bring your animal to school to show the judges on the field what your task was. When (you get judged on the field.) There will be judges giving out ribbons, there will also be 1st, 2nd and 3rd ribbons. At the very end there is a parade. For the parade you have to walk around in a circle showing your animals. Then just before that, our principal will hand out a trophy for the best pig, chicken, calf, goat and lamb. :)
